Jeeps and snow plows seem like a natural fit. Type in the search phrase “snow plow” at ewillys.com, and you will find hundreds of posts. Most are for sale ads, but many posts contain brochures, manuals, and magazine and newspaper ads. We started our search after spotting this 1948 newspaper ad.
The ad is not from Willys or the many snow plow makers but from the International Nickel Company. The company ran ads promoting the use of nickel and the jeep during WWII, even showing the post-war jeep pulling a plow. This time, it is CJ coming to the neighbor’s rescue.
The cropped picture from the same ad tells the real story here. The guy in the Jeep is having all the fun.
Dave @ eWillys has done all the research, and now we are having fun. Here is an example of what Dave has done. He has brought together three brochures to show how Newgren re-branded and sold equipment.
You can read Dave’s post here.
