Trent, a young tractor collector from “the middle of the mitten,” Michigan, stopped by to see us at the 2024 Rushville, IN Pioneer Engineers Club show. He was helping a friend pick up a tractor in nearby Greensburg. They had agreed they would stop at any tractor shows they might pass on their way home.
Trent said he had found a Newgren plow at an auction. He thought it might work on one of his many tractors. It didn’t. He then went looking for information on Newgren and found our site.
We told Trent that the design (short mast) was made to work with the Newgren Lift and advised him to add a Farm Jeep to his herd. He thought that was an excellent idea. Fast-forward a couple of months. Trent wrote us saying he didn’t think he would be adding a Farm Jeep anytime soon and wanted to know if we would like to buy the plow.
The response took about 2 seconds. A couple of weeks later, we headed north for a PRT (plow retrieval trip).
The plow is in excellent condition. It is missing the depth gauge wheel assembly and the jointer. We plan to do a restoration over the winter.
This is another example of why we attend tractor shows. You never know what might happen,
